Amanda Fuller began her career in commercial real estate finance and transitioned into the world of sustainable food as a social investor and entrepreneur in 2013. She brings the tools and strategy of traditional long-term leasing to new concepts of farmland investment. Amanda seeks to bolster the local food system through helping shape scalable models for investing in sustainable, profitable farms and food businesses and attracting more capital to this space.
Amanda has participated in the acquisition of more than $1.5 billion in long-term net leased real estate, largely in originating, structuring, underwriting, and closing transactions. She was vice president of the net lease real estate group at Angelo, Gordon & Co. until 2013. Prior to that, Amanda was an associate on the investments team at W. P. Carey & Co. She is also a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
Amanda has worked with Slow Money NYC and Foodshed Investors NY on many projects, including investments in Local Farms Fund, Chester Agricultural Center (a project of Northeast Farm Access), and Blue Marble Ice Cream. In 2014, Amanda co-founded RootedNY to bring consumers closer to their food through fun and educational tours of local farms and food producers. RootedNY organizes day trips from New York highlighting sustainable food, including farms, vineyards, cheesemakers, breweries, distilleries, oyster growers, butchers, chocolatiers, and foraging for wild edibles. She is also a third year Master’s student in the Food Studies Program at New York University, specializing in social entrepreneurship and agritourism.
